Privacy Policy
We collect as little as the product can run on, and we do not sell any of it.
What we store
Your email address, the domain you added, its domain rating, your credit balance and its history, and the mention requests you send or receive. That is the whole account.
Payments
Stripe handles the membership. Card details never reach our servers; we store only the Stripe customer id and whether the subscription is active.
Login links and product notifications are sent through SendGrid. We send no marketing email to an address that has not asked for it.
Analytics
Page views are counted by Pulse, a self-hosted counter. It records the page and the referrer. No third party advertising pixel runs on this site.
Domain ratings
To rate a domain we send the domain name, and nothing else, to Open PageRank. Ratings are cached for thirty days.
Link verification
When a member submits a placement URL we fetch that page once to confirm the link exists. We store the URL and the result, not the page.
Retention and deletion
Data lives as long as the account does. Email hello@crossmention.com to have an account and everything on it deleted.
Cookies
One cookie, the signed session that keeps you logged in. No tracking cookies and no cross-site advertising cookies.
