How CrossMention credits work

Credits are the only currency on CrossMention. This post shows how they are earned and spent.

Earning
You write a member into a page of your own content, link them and paste the URL. CrossMention fetches the page and confirms the link is inside real content. You earn your own site's tier.
Spending
You request a mention from a member site. Its tier is held from your balance. If the member places the mention, the credits move; if they decline, you get them back.
Example
A DR 30 site earns 2 credits per verified mention it places. A mention from a DR 50 member costs 4 credits. So two placements by the DR 30 site pay for one mention from the DR 50 site.
Limits
There is no cap on placements. Credits cannot be bought, sold or cashed out.
